Following a 20-year career in media relations, Deanne opted to leave the daily commute from Barrie to Toronto behind in search of a new career closer to home.
She set out to learn bookkeeping in 2007 initially to maintain the books for her husband’s business. This path led her to open her own bookkeeping service for a variety of clients. In 2011 she began to specialize in Estate accounting.
Deanne now works part-time as an Estate Assistant at Gilmore and Gilmore Law Office and services other bookkeeping clients during the remainder of the week. She continues to upgrade her bookkeeping skills through accounting courses at Cambrian College and balances work life by spending time at home with her husband, children, grandchildren, her portly cat and her horse.
